The Squamish Flying Club would like to invite you to participate in our 2014 Squamish Airport Community Day and Fly In this coming August 24th, 2014! Last year’s event was a great success with 20 aircraft flying in from other airports and an estimated 500+ people attending, including children of all ages! The Squamish Lions Club Society sold over 350 hot dogs and again ran out before the event ended! This is a free, family friendly event open to everyone!
Last year event participants included:
· The Squamish Flying Club
· The Lions Club
· Civil Aviation Search and Rescue (CASARA)
· 835 Royal Canadian Air Cadets
· BC Coast 99’s – The Ninety Nines is an international women’s pilot organization
Plus the local air operators based at the airport offered discounted airplane and helicopter flights!
This year’s event will be held on Sunday, August 24th, 2012 from 11:00 – 15:00 in order to not conflict with other flying
and community events. There is plenty of free area to fly in and camp overnight if you want to come in on Saturday and spend some extra time exploring all that Squamish has to offer!
