VFR Working Group Seminar at NavCanada

This meeting is a result of a Nav Canada meeting that were held earlier this summer regarding VFR operating procedures in the BC Lower Mainland. At that meeting there was one representative from each of the local COPA flights, the RAA and the EAA and from the local flying schools.

It was requested that a meeting be held that any member of these organizations or any concerned pilot could attend. Nav Canada is now providing this opportunity and I urge the pilots of your organization that are concerned about VFR procedures in this area to attend.

Aviatrixes: Those magnificent ladies in their flying machines

"In the early days of human flight, a new word entered our lexicon: "aviatrix," the female version of "aviator." These women were true pioneers, although if you asked them, they would probably tell you they were just adventurous and loved flying -same as the men who took to the air in those days."
Mentalfloss profiles seven women from the first decades of airplanes.
