Our guest speaker on Feb. 20th is Kucki Low. She is South Africa's first female airline pilot. She will speak about the great adventure she took to get her airline captins licence and be able to say the words " This is Kucki your captin speaking". Her speach is accompanied with a slide show with many pictures of Africa taken during her adventure. Kucki has written a book about her adventure "This is Kucki your captin speaking" . Kucki is hired by many corporations as a motivational speaker and she has agreed to be the guest speaker at our club meeting .

Kucki's Bio
Kucki Low's life story is an adventure filled with fascinating twists and turns. She triumphed over much adversity and succeeded against all odds to become not only a successful flight instructor but South Africa's First Female Airline Pilot.
During the 1970's, female pilots on any continent were few and far between. Overcoming personal tragedy and limited schooling, Kucki Low attained fer private pilot's licence in early 1969 at the age of 23, the first woman to do so in Namibia, then called South West Africa. She went on to become the first female airline pilot in South Africa.
Join Kucki as she talks about her journey and some of her flying experiences in Africa. Her entertaining book "This is Kucki Your Pilot Speaking" recounts her challenges and triumphs and explores the joys of being a twentieth-century aviation pioneer.
Kucki has been sharing her inspiring journey at aviation conferences, women's
conferences, service clubs, libraries and seniors residences. She has been interviewed on
Global TV Morning News, the Fanny Kiefer Show, the WayCafe Internet Television Show,
heard on Abundant Business Radio, and featured in the North Shore News.
